A Landmark Car Museum in Whatcom County
Our ultimate goal is building a transportation culture center and car museum in Bellingham or a nearby Whatcom County community. We envision a campus that is equal parts community center and tourist destination, catering to the needs of local enthusiasts and drawing visitors from near and far. This Museum won't just be a place to look, it’s a place to experience. While the core collection will celebrate the history of cars and other forms of land, sea and air transportation through permanent and rotating exhibits, the space is designed to be adaptive, creative, and deeply integrated into community life. Here’s a few of the features we envision:

Permanent & Rotating Collection
At it's core, this will be a car museum that celebrates car culture in our region. But our diverse collection will highlight marine, air and land travel, with exhibits consisting of donated and otherwise acquired boats, automobiles, and planes built or used in the Pacific Northwest and beyond, for business or pleasure. We fully intend to showcase world class vehicles from around the globe, inspiring return visits and already have multiple vehicle commitments for the Museum's collection.

Maker Space & Restoration Hub
A hands-on workshop where visitors and students can explore skills related to vehicle preservation, but usable in so many other fields, such as sewing, welding, metalsmithing, upholstery, engine rebuilding, and bodywork, all with mentorship from professionals.

Car Storage - Club 49
A members-only, climate-controlled storage solution for vehicle owners. This presents a sustainable revenue source that builds community. Members gain access to additional perks, such as a private lounge and discounted event space, with their member premiums being donated to the Museum operations.

Flexible Event Space
Our halls and conference space will be available for rent for private and public gatherings, such as car shows, concerts, weddings, trade shows, corporate events, and community celebrations. This too supports the bottom line.

Art Exhibits & Cultural Space
Partnering with local artists, designers, and tradespeople from Lummi, Whatcom County, and the surrounding areas, we aim tto create dynamic exhibitions that reflect the region’s identity.

Cafe & Restaurant
We envision a social space that encourages repeat visits, even for non-gearheads. This could be the ultimate spot to do your homework or the perfect destination for car clubs on a cruise or a date night for those seeking fresh dining options. No museum admission required!
